NDP HIRES RICHARD DREYFUSS TO PRETEND TO BE JACK LAYTON FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS

(LOS ANGELES) -In a scenario similar to the Kevin Kline comedy “Dave” or his own 1988 film “Moon Over Parador”, the NDP has hired Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss to pretend to be Jack Layton. “Just until we get our shit together and find someone even half as good as Jack. Right now many Canadians would prefer a pretend Jack to the real Brian Topp.”
While he will not be the official leader of the NDP, Layton/Dreyfuss’ position will be largely to remind voters of the late Jack Layton’s charisma and charm. Layton/Dreyfuss’ duties will include attending Parliamentary sessions, being inspirational, getting mad at Stephen Harper and just generally hanging around Ottawa looking and sounding like Jack Layton.
“People still love Jack and everyone loves Richard Dreyfuss. That’s the Orange wave meets Stand By Me. Who wouldn’t love that?”
Conservatives are in talks with a department store mannequin in a Stephen Harper mask to pretend to be the Prime Minister in the event of his demise, but are concerned it may too charismatic.
